Database Program Analyst
Phinge™ is developing a first of its kind software platform including an OS, cloud solution and consumer, business and social media applications. This will complement our state of the art mobile phones, tablets hybrids and peripherals. Install, configure, modify and document applications converting to virtual machines
Assist client with maintaining servers and system security standards
Track vulnerabilities and recommend/apply appropriate patches and upgrades
Generate statistics for operational review and planning
Mentor and train Linux Systems Administrators
BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience in implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting Unix/Linux operating system, Internet-based applications and/or web servers.
Experience with scripting and actively writing/modifying code to improve monitoring or deployment (Python, Go, Perl, Java, C, Shell, etc).
Experience with TCP/IP networking (DNS, DHCP, etc).
Serve as a senior consulting systems administrator/programmer for UNIX/Solaris/Linux.
Analyze system performance and utilization on physical and virtual environments
Respond rapidly to client requests
Respond rapidly to client support needs, including weekends and evenings
Assist client with managing their VMware infrastructure and NetApp SAN
Work with the client team in developing System Administration Policies and long-range planning. Programming Services
Design, develop, document, troubleshoot, and modernize programs for systems and applications in support of the client's application virtualization strategy.
10+ years of experience administering/programming UNIX/Solaris/Linux systems
5 or more years of experience administering and programming against databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server and Oracle
Candidate must be able to work alone and closely with team members while maintaining a willingness to learn.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are required
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must
Organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
Experience with HTML, AJAX, CSS, and XML a plus
10 years of experience in implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting Unix/Linux operating system, Internet-based applications and web servers.
Fluency in multiple programming languages.
Excellent customer service, leadership, organizational, communication and interface skills.
