Job Description

Hardware Engineer

Here at Phinge™, we are looking for talented and organized, hardware engineers that thrive in an innovative “start-up” company environment. Essential qualities required for the quality control positions are to inspect, test and sample all products made by Phinge. This position will require you to be observant and to monitor production operations and to ensure conformance to
specification! Our quality control team is extremely organized, confident, and they have outstanding problem-solving skills. If you would like to be part of the biggest revolution in technology in the last 20 years, we would love to hear from you.

We are hiring for positions in Incline Village and Reno, Nevada.

Work Authorization

United States (Required)

Basic Qualifications

Hands-on experience with fundamental sensor design
Experience in firmware development, especially C++ and python
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid teamwork and leadership skills
Familiar and at ease with mechanical devices and principles
Proficiency in MATLAB, SPICE, Simulink or similar simulation software
Significant experience with diverse materials systems strongly desired
Appreciation/knowledge of the Arts is a plus
Flexibility to accommodate evolving business needs
Work in accordance with all legislation and company policy requirements pertaining to employee safety, health and wellness
Ability to communicate information clearly
Someone who will be both, confident to work independently and be a good team member
Candidate must be able to work alone and closely with team members while maintaining a willingness to learn.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are required
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must
Organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of technical work experience
Hands-on experience in electrical engineering, especially board level analog/digital design
Must be self-motivated, be able to problem solve complex situations, and be resourceful
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, decimals, negative and positive numbers.

High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
