Here at Phinge™, we are looking for talented and organized, logistic analysts that thrive in an innovative “start-up” company environment. Essential qualities required for the quality control positions are to inspect, test and sample all products made by Phinge. This position will require you to be observant and to monitor production operations and to ensure conformance to specification! Analyze and identify trends between forecasted and actual volumes throughout the supply chain from origin to final delivery
Communicate issues effectively, and ensures that issues are resolved in a timely manner, especially when communicating across time zones and cultures
Evaluate performance for key quality measures that impact the flow of freight. Identify trends within the measures
Prepare and update business reporting as requested by the Logistics Team
Monitor and maintain existing Logistics and Transportation network while working with the Logistics Team on efficiencies to drive improved service and reduced cost
Develop successful peak planning tools and strategy with internal and external partners
Support contract negotiation and analysis through data mining and quantitative analysis
Define and document departmental carrier, and 3PL warehouse SOPs
Develop formal carrier and distribution scorecards. Develop performance reporting tools for inbound and outbound freight, as well as warehousing and distribution from our 3PL warehouse partners. Develop and enhance carrier service levels through scorecards and on time performance measurement tools
Provide feedback and direction to other members of the Wholesale Logistics Team
Candidate must be able to work alone and closely with team members while maintaining a willingness to learn
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are required
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must
Organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Bachelor’s Degree required (or equivalent work experience)
3+ years of relevant industry experience with focus on logistics
Must be self-motivated, be able to problem solve complex situations, and be resourceful
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, decimals, negative and positive numbers.
