Essential qualities required for the quality control positions are to inspect, test and sample all products made by Phinge. This position will require you to be observant and to monitor production operations and to ensure conformance to specification! Review, research, and validate parts type, parts characteristic,
Evaluate technical characteristics between primary and potential alternate/equivalent parts and develop recommendations for suitability of proposed solutions to resolve obsolescence issues.
Aid logistics with receiving, aliquoting, and shipping as time allows in line with the needs of the department
Advise on system and/or process changes necessary to import/export hazardous products.
Work with Sales on account implementation, ensuring a smooth transition from Sales to Operations
Develop a proactive relationship with the assigned customer accounts by resolution of issues and concerns in a timely manner and provide innovative solutions.
Manage, monitor and report order acceptance, order maintenance and accessorial management by email, and phone.
Communicate with shipper and consignee contacts regarding exception notification and problem resolution.
Maintain quality service by monitoring standards; advising supervisor of potential problems. Work with Manager, Sales and Accounting to address and resolve single load concerns in a timely manner.
Determine which accessorial charges can be billed and follow company process to successful conclusion, minimizing disputes, assisting in collections and working with Account Managers on solutions to reduce accessorial charges.
Establish and maintain long-lasting, sustainable relationships with Phinge partners. Ensure goals are aligned to provide best options to shippers.
Candidate must be able to work alone and closely with team members while maintaining a willingness to learn
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are required
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must
Organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Proven ability to build relationships with carriers and customers
Bachelor’s Degree in business, Communication, Supply Chain, or comparable experience/education
Experience with TMS systems. (TMW, McLeod, Etc.)
Must be self-motivated, be able to problem solve complex situations, and be resourceful
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, decimals, negative and positive numbers.
