Network Design Engineer
Phinge™ is developing a first of its kind software platform including an OS, cloud solution and consumer, business and social media applications. This will complement our state of the art mobile phones, tablets hybrids and peripherals. Demonstrated experience in developing network design standards, product evaluation & certification testing, automated deployments and solution documentation
Advanced knowledge and experience of WAN, ISP peering, BGP, OSPF, IP Multicast, firewalls, QoS, I IPv4/v6 Addressing & DNS/DHCP
Knowledge & experience in designing and operating network virtualization solutions like Vxlan
Advanced with layer two switching in Ethernet technologies to deliver user access over copper & fiber mediums
Experience with network security using wired & wireless 802.1x, EAP-TLS authentication, Cisco ISE (Identity Service Engine) beneficial and VPN solutions
Experience designing 802.11ac WiFi environments using centralized WLAN controller solution
Knowledge in network monitoring protocols (Netflow, SNMP etc)
Prior experience with network automation toolsets, REST API’s on network platforms (Netconf, YANG), configuration management (puppet, chef, Ansible), UNIX OS and programming skills (Python, perl, shell scripting)
Must have knowledge & experience with network operating systems on Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Arista and Juniper platforms
You have strong technical leadership skills, standout colleague, rapid decision maker, extraordinary written & verbal interpersonal skills, ability to work through ambiguity and work under pressure while managing challenging timelines
You have excellent collaborating, presentation & negotiation skills to work effectively with a range of business partners on gathering requirements and proposing solutions
Experience in modern OS power management is a plus
Candidate must be able to work alone and closely with team members while maintaining a willingness to learn
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are required
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must
Organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
Minimum of 10 years in the IT Network Infrastructure field focusing on Design and Operations
BS or MS in Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience in dynamic, multi-functional software environments
Experience with C/C++ and Python.
