Product Safety Engineer
Here at Phinge™, we are looking for talented and organized, product safety engineers that thrive in an innovative “start-up” company environment. Essential qualities required for the quality control positions are to inspect, test and sample all products made by Phinge. This position will require you to be observant and to monitor production operations and to ensure conformance to specification! Our quality control team is extremely organized, confident, and they have outstanding problem-solving skills. Experience driving product design for safety and compliance to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950 62368, 62133, 1642, 2054, 60825, 62471 and 60065
Solid safety technical background and hands-on experience in safety certifications of complex products and executing risk analysis to eliminate safety risks
Deep working knowledge on test equipment, test procedures, and agency requirements from above Safety Standards
On day-to-day basis, you will be interpreting and negotiating requirements, apply knowledge to new situations and implement new solutions with customer safety as priority
Being a great partner with vendor safety groups and contractors to develop and qualify product designs
Conducting component level safety analysis of electrical circuits and modules
Conducting FMEA and Safety Fault Tree Analysis
Conducting detailed failure analysis and developing lessons learned
Technical writing, data analytics/statistics and ability to build and execute presentations for Executives.
Someone who will be both, confident to work independently and be a good team member
Candidate must be able to work alone and closely with team members while maintaining a willingness to learn.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are required
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must
Organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
Proficient in Microsoft Office
A bachelor degree in Health and Safety with Engineering (ME, CE etc.) background preferred.
Must be self-motivated, be able to problem solve complex situations, and be resourceful
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, decimals, negative and positive numbers.
Demonstrated ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs & use metrics and data in leading change.
