Senior Database Sequel Developer
Phinge™ is developing a first of its kind software platform including an OS, cloud solution and consumer, business and social media applications. This will complement our state of the art mobile phones, tablets hybrids and peripherals. Intermediate to strong understanding of the MS SQL Server environment (3+ years of experience) specifically in regards to indexing (clustered, non-clustered, column store)
Have experience with SQL Server Profiler
Experience with aggregating large data sets, specifically within a data warehouse environment.
Intermediate to strong understanding of execution plans and plan caching.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Including a proactive disposition towards identifying problems and providing solutions.
Familiar with report development paradigms.
Ability to complete development projects on time without day to day oversight of the code by the project leads.
Must be able to review and optimize large pieces of SQL code.
Must be able to work well within a skilled development team. Being able to provide and receive peer review.
Familiar with MS SQL best practices involved with OLTP and data warehouse environments.
SQL operational management (backups, maintenance plans, new server setup) experience a bonus.
SSAS and PowerBI experience is a bonus.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2008-2014)
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Report Services (2008-2014)
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integrated Services (2008-2014)
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (2008-2014)
Experience with Visual Studio/SSDT (any versions)
Experience with SQL Sentry
Experience with Powershell

Candidate must be able to work alone and closely with team members while maintaining a willingness to learn.

Organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
Knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Perl, Ruby)
Experience driving small to medium sized projects
Strong business acumen
Strong insights on Oracle, Redshift, MS SQL server DBs/related DBs, Hadoop, AWS technologies
Basic understanding of any standard reporting (like Tableau, Amazon quicksight, PowerBI)
Microsoft Excel experience.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Experience executing on basic database engineering (e.g., building tables (OLAP/OLTP, ETL tasks)
