Software Application Analyst
Phinge™ is developing a first of its kind software platform including an OS, cloud solution and consumer, business and social media applications. This will complement our state of the art mobile phones, tablets hybrids and peripherals. Maintain effective communications with IT Teams and other support organizations.
Assist with reporting metrics on system performance, stability and utilization
Responsible for capacity planning for UNIX Platforms
Assist with the implementation and continuous reviews of IT Standards in relationship to Phinge’s services and procedures
Strong understanding of data security considerations and best practices for various use cases including enterprise, healthcare, or government sectors
Experience with reporting system utilization and metrics
Excellent reasoning and analytic skills in a time critical/mission critical problem-solving operation.

Provide on-call support
Experience with developing technical design documentation and contributing in design decisions
Industry recognized technical qualifications Select, install and manage AIX software and management tools
Provide capacity and utilization reporting to management on a regular basis
Provide coordination to develop and refine best practices around existing AIX platforms and hosted services
Maintain an “always ready” level of disaster preparedness for the AIX platform and applications
Provide delivery of support as needed when AIX O/S or hardware issues are suspected, leveraging vendor support as appropriate
Provide automation of operations tasks related to system provisioning, administration, and maintenance
Candidate must be able to work alone and closely with team members while maintaining a willingness to learn
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are required
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must
Organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
Strong experience with IBM AIX, IBM Power Systems, and LPAR builds, configuration, patching and support
