Phinge™ is developing a first of its kind software platform including an OS, cloud solution and consumer, business and social media applications. This will complement our state of the art mobile phones, tablets hybrids and peripherals. Degree in Computer Science, or other relevant technical disciplines, and/or strong community contributions You will collaborate with our Product and Project Management teams to design and deliver new product features that meet our users’ needs
Contribute to architecture, instrumentation, and performance decisions
Keep your hands dirty - write code, fix bugs, participate in code reviews and contribute to team and personal learning
Coach your junior software developer teammates on software development standard methodologies
Develop and implement algorithms to support user, partner, admin and financial workflows
Integrate and write code to communicate with third-party APIs, and develop the backend to support client-facing website interactions
Identify and integrate developer tools, curate the portfolio of technical resources used by the engineering departments:
A non-negotiable requirement of the role is that you are able to complete multiple technical screenings that involve the hands-on scripting of complex algorithms and database schema and queries
Nice to Know: React, React native, Ruby/Rails, GraphQL, Apollo
Familiarity with iOS or Android application development
5+ years’ experience as software developer building products for web and/or backend
High personal code/development standards (peer testing, unit testing, documentation, etc.)
Candidate must be able to work alone and closely with team members while maintaining a willingness to learn.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are required
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must
Organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
Associates Degree (two-year college or technical school) or Work Equivalent, Field of Study: Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
2 + years of experience in Software Engineering, Software Development, or similar field.
Working technical knowledge of programming languages, including Java, HTML5 Experience working with enterprise applications.
Hands on experience working in integrated development environments.
Familiarity with the technology/software industry.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle
