Phinge™ is developing a first of its kind software platform including an OS, cloud solution and consumer, business and social media applications. This will complement our state of the art mobile phones, tablets hybrids and peripherals. Understands how to independently upgrade and install commonly used OS tools from third party vendors as well as Phinge
Extensive knowledge in OS based security as well as control policies, procedures and standards – we prefer RACF
Can maintain, install, and perform problem resolution on OS system software
Confidently and independently execute OS system level recoveries
Can support disaster recovery for OS
Extensive knowledge of OS in both JES2 and JES3 environments
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must
Knowledge in ISPF, TSO, JCL and IBM utilities
Proficient in OS Unix System Services (USS) as well as Websphere environments
Knowledge in systems programming experience in fields such as problem analysis and resolution, software installation, and dump analysis
Knowledge in in systems programming of OS and z/Series hardware definitions, using HCD in an LPAR environment
Candidate must be able to work alone and closely with team members while maintaining a willingness to learn.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are required
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirement
Able to debug, correct and analyze various OS software problems
Knowledge in assembler, REXX, Clist and SAS coding
Knowledge with GDPS, as well as Mainframe performance
