Web Graphic Designer
Here at Phinge™, we are looking for talented and creative web designers that thrive in a innovative “start-up” company environment. As a web designer, you will be enhancing the layout, features and user experience of our website. Social media pages and e-mails for Phinge Corporation. The job involves understanding both graphic design and computer programming. They work with development teams or managers for keeping the site up-to-date and prioritizing needs, among other tasks. Demonstrate hands-on skills in the latest Adobe Creative Suite
Possess a natural eye for beauty, creativity, and professionalism
Solve creative problems and produce quality work with attention to detail
Have a thorough understanding of colors, images, textures and shapes to create designs
Employ color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques when designing a project
Possess expert understanding of multimedia design and experience in building files for both print and digital
Develop material for web pages, design logos for products and businesses, develop signs and environmental graphics, create promotional displays, packaging, and marketing brochures and catalogs
Develop the layout and production design of magazines, newspapers, newsletters, journals, corporate reports, infographics and other publications
Have the ability to manage multiple projects and remain flexible through multiple revisions while keeping a keen focus on detail
Occasionally meet with internal clients to establish a vision for a product or design
Collaborate with printers to select type of paper and ink
Perform research on competitors and market trends
Work well with a team to accomplish large projects, such as launching new products, developing new brand campaigns, creating new websites, etc.
Able to quickly process a lot of information from various companies and industries
Able to work independently and employ self-motivation to finish projects under certain deadlines while also being an important and active member of a constantly developing and collaborating team
Candidate must be able to work alone and closely with team members while maintaining a willingness to learn.

Organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
At least 4+ years experience as a front-end developer building responsive websites and web applications (bonus points if at an agency)
Experience developing templates for use in content management systems and ecommerce systems
Architectural understanding of how the web works: the web server, network requests, the browser, the DOM, stylesheets, scripts
Working understanding of web infrastructure and scalability, object-oriented programming, and MVC architecture
Comfortable developing with TFS, CSS preprocessors, linters, coding standards, branding guidelines, and both waterfall and agile development processes
Confidently and quickly able to navigate around and work within an unfamiliar codebase
Able to confidently build upon an existing aesthetic through code (e.g. new templates, components, feedback mechanisms, animations)
Able to troubleshoot and debug complex websites and applications (e.g. network requests, performance, layout issues, browser bugs)
General proficiency coding in at least one server-side language (PHP, .Net, / C# would be a plus)
Must be comfortable working with UI designers. Should have experience converting design comps created in Photoshop or Sketch into functional websites.
Strong portfolio showing expert concept, layout and typographic skills, as well as creativity and ability to adhere to brand standards.
Expert with design software including Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign CC.
